While we use authoritative geographic datasets (including Natural Earth public domain data, UN demographic estimations, and official national boundary registries), geopolitical boundaries and territory statistics may be subject to ongoing international disputes. Our representations are intended for cartographic education and projection comparison, not legal adjudication of sovereignty.
3. Projection Attribution
The Equal Earth map projection was formulated by Bojan Šavrič, Bernhard Jenny, and Tom Patterson (2018). Its mathematical equations are placed in the public domain for global cartographic benefit.
